Culture and Social Responsibility

Encouragement of Amazonian Culture
In the 2000s, we launched our Calendar, initially in CD format, which were kindly disposed of sustainably by Microservice, our client that worked with this raw material, and were reused for this purpose. As of 2012, we began to highlight the Amazon and its culture in the Calendar. In addition to becoming a strong institutional material in the corporate environment, the Calendar stood out for promoting and connecting artists from the region, valuing culture and strengthening the artistic work created by Amazonian hands. With an annual circulation of 3,000 copies, distributed free of charge locally and nationally, the yearbook has been paying tribute to local artists, including photographers, visual artists, poets and chefs. In an innovative way, in 2025, the Calendar will turn its attention to the tourism potential of the Amazon, initiating a series of destinations to be visited. In this way, DD&L reinforces its commitment to the development of the North region, fostering all legitimate possibilities to boost the local economy.

Pro Bono Advocacy and Volunteering
We have been working directly and actively in the Third Sector since 2004, providing pro bono legal advice to non-profit organizations that serve underprivileged communities, people in a state of social vulnerability and people with disabilities, such as Socioeducacional Dom Adalberto Marzi (SEDAM), Fazenda da Esperança, Arquidiocese de Manaus, Lar de Vitórias and Instituto Vida Alberto Piva, all located in Manaus. In this area, our work is broad. Our work fronts are expressed mainly in legal advice in the civil and corporate spheres, through the monitoring of legal demands and also through the preparation of contracts, minutes and agreements. In addition, we have a permanent volunteer program developed by the employees themselves in partnership with SEDAM. We support and participate in this and other assistance projects that aim to improve the quality of life of needy people, through fun activities with children, and courses for adults, aimed at learning a trade or activities that help support the family, such as sewing, baking and crafts.

Sustainability
In addition to daily actions aimed at the conscious use of resources in general, we have implemented the Selective Waste Collection project, through which we raise awareness among our employees using lectures, institutional videos, reports, and permanent notices about the correct practices for waste separation and disposal.
